Description
This traditional three-legged cast iron potjie pot originates from African outdoor cooking culture, constructed from thick pre-seasoned cast iron for campfire cooking.
Built with three integrated cast support legs, it elevates the pot above open fire or charcoal to maintain stable placement and allow full airflow under the pot. The ribbed corrugated pot wall optimizes heat circulation and improves structural strength. Equipped with a swing metal bail handle, you can safely lift and move the full hot pot with heat-resistant gloves. The tight-fitting cast iron lid effectively locks steam and heat for long-time slow simmering.
Heavy cast iron delivers even heat distribution and superior heat retention, ideal for slow-cooking stews, curries and braised dishes over open flame. The factory pre-seasoned interior gradually forms natural non-stick patina, resistant to acidic ingredients and does not retain food odors.
7 sizes range from mini 0.7L to large 13.5L, suitable for single person, couple, family and large group outdoor camping. It is widely used for safari, backyard campfire and outdoor feast cooking.
